Team Leader – DevelopmentI am Sparks Team Leader and a former backend developer in Astrato. Sparks team was initially called technical platform tribe and is responsible for "non-feature requirements", which means we're mostly focused on providing tools for other teams. Other than that, I nag (business) people, write log messages and get mistaken for DevOps. Oh and it turns out I like to talk. Like a lot.
Started as a .Net developer, moved into JS starting with frontend, going fullstack and finally ending on backend only. Developer by passion, but with “we need this done, I can learn about it if needed” mindset it was only a matter of time until I started working more with people than with computers. A good friend has a saying “silicon interfaces are easier to manage than the carbon ones” and I do agree with that. But it’s is both challenging and rewarding at the same time.
In my private time I like playing games, both those you need a computer or a beer and good company for. Richii Mahjong, Poker, Magic: the Gathering, FPSs, rpgs (both paper and electronic) or any other tabletop game - if you're looking for someone to play count me in. I also enjoy tinkering with (or mostly talking about) IoT and gadgets.
